So, I've been using ZooMed Daylight Blue bulbs for a whole now, but I've been doing further research and I've seen that Exo-Terra has a wider variety of Reptile Bulbs. I haven't used any Exo-Terra bulbs before, and I'd like to know what bulb would be the best for my 3 year old, 3 foot long, male Corn Snake. If you'd like more info about my Corn, I could give some to you :) (p.s. I only have room for one bulb, besides my ZooMed Infrared Heat Bulb)

Cheap..

Corn's don't have any specific lighting needs so you can use whatever.

Ikea's LED's are the popular choice round here.

The general rule is that reptiles that are active in the daytime and bask need the uv that your reptile bulb is supplying, whereas reptiles that are active at dawn, dusk and at night don't. Corns are crepuscular, active at dawn and dusk, so don't need the uv.

Light in your corn's viv is really more for your benefit than his. As Thorne Walker has said, a lot of us use the Ikea LED strip lights to light our vivs, easy to install and small, eg - http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00119419/

I'm assuming your heat bulb is controlled by a thermostat and that you have a digital thermometer in the warm end monitoring the temperature at substrate level? Sorry, got to check .

Xxx
