Grrr so I am so annoyed with my self. Got Loki out fine the other day and he was happy and calm. Tried to get out again recently and he being grouchy again rattling tail striking etc. I know I should jut bite the bullet and get him pit and the lore I handle the more he will settle but I keep siking myself out even when using a sock. So frustrated with myself. I'm not sure why he suddenly become so defensive was always ok coming out would try to run and hide but could just pick him up and would be fine. He seems really settled in new viv got more room and very active is the set up wrong? Heat may reading at 28 cold parts of viv are room temp. The viv is 4 foot talk should input a basking spot at the top or is the heat may at bottom ok? Know they need specific humidity but should be able to maintain through spraying water in viv daily days don't need hydrometer but should I get one and check that? He's got plenty of hides one on top of heat mat one cool end m, one on the shelf plus coverage from the plants that at in there.

On plus at least I know def can't feel through the sock lol. He settled down quickly to had out about ten mins now and still out while I write lol. I'm not sure if he going to shed though colours are dull and belly looks milky but eyes are clear???

That belly shot looks like a definite blue tum to me! I'm sure he's just grouchy because he's in blue - he'll probably be back to his old self once he's shed and then you won't have any problems getting him out. Corno's belly goes dull long before her eyes go blue, and stays like it once the eyes have cleared, so don't worry - you either missed the blue eyes or they'll be there soon :) |

I found it very hard to tell with Aleron until he was very definitely zombie eyed. His belly has a definite blue hue to it even after he's shed, so that's probably not something to go by with these guys. I did notice he went a *lot* darker for about a week, then he went blue, this was only noticeable with the eyes; the rest of him looked about the same. Once he'd shed everything was a lot lighter and he even has a lot of white on his sides.
