Storm eats and i'm worried!
The pinkie was a bit big, bigger really than the one and half size thingy, i changed my mind when he went up to it and saw the size difference, but i was too slow, he went right at it. thought he would spit it out, but it took him 20 min to get it all down.
Just being paranoid i think, but getting worried if he can breath ok
and hoping he can digest it ok......like i said paranoid

Hahaha, I remember feeling just like this when my first new hatchie took his first pinkie. He ate it butt first and took over half an hour to get it down, but he managed it fine (eventually). They're a lot more capable than we give them credit for :p

Just living up to his name... If he was confidant enough to take it I'm sure he'll be ok...

Chalk it up to that "small snake that thinks it's a big snake" thing that hoggies have..

I don't think it's anything to worry about. I know the 1 1/2 rule is there and it's said constantly feeding oversize prey can cause injury, damage or problems but I'm sure once won't cause any problem at all. If it was too big he would not have taken it. They don't measure themselves or their prey in the wild!

There's no pleasing you SBB - he doesn't eat, you worry, he eats... you worry lol!! Try not to worry too much - he'll probably be fine, but worst case scenario he'll regurge and then be fine (but I bet he doesn't regurge :P). If it's in his tum then it's past his lung so breathing won't be an issue ;)

Well done Storm, good boy for eating!
