Things are not going well.

I moved Aphrodite up to her adult viv (with LOADS of cover inside) because she was way too big for her faun. I did the same thing with Apollo, when he was smaller than Aphrodite is now and he was okay. However I think that it has been too much for her. She's been charging around like a mad thing exploring everything and isn't acting herself. She's refused two meals, a medium and a small. I've shown her into the warm hide tonight as she hasn't actually used the hides yet (she's been in there a week). I'm hoping she's just settling in and needs a bit of time to acclimatise to it as she is in a different room and a bigger viv.

I gave the medium to Apollo, who had his decorations changed completely and decided he loved the Trixie table SOO much. I found a regurgitation today Definitely a regurge, it stinks beyond even the worst poop and there's obvious skin and parts in it. I don't know the reason for it, the temps are fine apart from the warm weather we've been having making the cool end a little too warm. The mouse looked okay, a little excess blood from the nose perhaps but from a brand new batch of mice which arrived completely solidly frozen and it smelled okay.

I will be waiting a little longer with Aphrodite's hunger strike to either calm down or continue before messing around with her again.

Apollo will have 10 days no feed then a smaller item than normal. Possibly even just a couple of pinkies to begin with. He normally gets a large but he regurged a medium.

Anything else I should be doing? Everything always seems to happen at once On top of all this, my hatchling rack which was very nearly ready isn't going to work out. The wood OH used for the shelves is warped so the base of the tubs isn't in contact with the heat cable, some are some aren't and it's not going to be possible to heat safely or evenly. He's going to have to start from scratch with it

Aww, that must all be very worrying :( Hopefully it is just the weather; corns don't seem to like change much and all this warmth could be upsetting them even if it's strictly speaking not too high. Anyway, hope everything settles down soon for you and hope the new hatchling rack works out.

Hope things get better soon, Moppet. It could well be the weather, or just a dodgy mouse. Hope you get your hatchling rack sorted - just think about how nice it will be, when it's full of hatchies :-)

Oh no, everything happens in threes eh?! I hope Aphrodite comes out of her strop soon and decides to start eating, and that Apollo is fine for his next feed. Good luck to your husband getting the rack sorted as well, must be very frustrating for him.

xx
