Hiya Everybody.
My baby girl has now eaten 4 feeds and only needs 2 feeds before she can come home with me.
BUT I have the problem in the fact she hasn't got a name yet.
I have limited it down to 2 and I want your choice.....
The names are

Gemma (Gemma means little Jem)

AND

Megan (Megan means little pearl)

Thanks for your comments in advance....

Well now,MEGAN is an awesome name-I've been wearing it myself since,erm I was Christened it actualy means;

A GOLDEN PEARL-A WONDROUS DISCOVERED TREASURE,A GIFT BEYOND ALL MEASURE

and I may be a tiny bit biased but,I think that knocks gropy old Gemma out for the count

Pearls were also a symbol of purity and originaly reserved for royaltyin this country at least.
Best advice-go for Megan

I am going to give my vote to Gemma, it is a lovely name. Plus, I have a habit of shortening names (my two are now Cath and Delly) and being a Supernatural fan, Megan would be shortened to Meg reminding me of the demon!

0.1.0 Snow - Cathy (digesting, waiting for her photo op)
0.1.0 Carolina - Delilah
0.1.0 King Charles Cavalier - Emily
0.1.0 St Bernard - Pooch
0.1.0 Manx Cat - Maggie
0.0.1 HUGE tropical fish tank + residents
1.0.0 Husband (thinks I am insane)
3.2.0 Children (think I am cool!)

OH-how COULD youI'm wounded
the so called 'demon meg'is a corruption of Mab which is in itself a corruption of Mebd....Nothing to do with golden pearls or gifts beyond all measure
Never mix 'T.V. Miffs' of the 'Stoopidnatural' with real genuine living vibrant Welsh/Irish/Celtoi Oral Tradition

Also according to JackFM-our south coast radio and font of wisdom;
ALL Emmas/Gemmas are evil

LOL! You made me giggle so loudly I have just had to explain to my husband WHY I am giggling so much

I know Supernatural is Stoopidnatural but it is a completely guilty pleasure of mine (probably because the two lead characters are rather easy on the eyes!).

You will have to excuse me on the Celtic front though - I speak Manx Gaelic - it was declared a dead language a few years ago so there was a huge push to get people to learn it and give it the old linguistic "CPR", so as a family we try to speak it at least one day a week now.

I love the root meanings of names though. My first name is Gaelic. I know I am going to be reading up on Celtic name origins all afternoon now
