Sooooooooo pretty I'll be keeping my eyes peeled at Doncaster tomorrow for one of these!!! It's all your fault Olive and Ollivander are just too pretty to resist!
I have a little RUB ready for one already (but shhhhh don't tell OH, he thinks I'm not getting anymore snakes, just decorations...) I figure they're so small as hatchies that he won't be able to stay mad for long... |

That's a beautiful house snake and looks in amazing condition, so shiny it looks like you polished it or covered in baby oil. |

I did find some but I was very VERY restrained and somehow resisted them. There were some GORGEOUS True Olive housie hatchies (which are my fave!!). Fell in love with a teeny tiny male with a perfect white stripe over his eyes but then remembered that I have to put all four of my 2012 corns up to their 3ft adult vivs in the next few months and I will be busy with my corn eggs which will hopefully hatch the end of July...
I'm really gutted now that I did manage to resist but I know it was a sensible decision really. The guy selling them seemed good and he only lives in Nottingham so when things are a bit less mental in the Moppet household I may nip down and buy a trio... |

Regretting it now though. I could have had a housie of my own right now...

I think it was knowing I wasn't really ready for one (no mat ready set up to correct temps, no pinkies in the house etc) that did it. That and I wanted to do a little more research into care. Only just though! I was sooooo close to walking away with a lovely little male.
On the plus side OH seems to be feeling rather mellow about the whole idea. When I asked how he felt about me getting two housie hatchies (after explaining size etc) he said, and I quote, "Meh". I then asked "That's not a no?" And he said very clearly "It isn't a no. I'm kind of resigned to it now." That's as close as I'll ever get to permission...
Now, to wait until September or to nip down to Nottingham...
I love their eyes too, so bright and so different from corns. I also love the white bellies, the contrast between that and the olive colour is just gorgeous. And I love the shine...the size...their little faces...the eye stripes...in fact, pretty much everything! So gorgeous! |
