Does anyone know if Gerbils can have calci worms at a treat? I give them the occasional meal worm and since I have some calci worms for Jeff I wondered if it would be ok the the gerbils to have them too?

As for the girls their pair bonding is going well, they have been next to each over for over a week and on Tuesday the partion was taken down to a single barrier so now they can touch through the mesh. The are both quite interested in each other and Pick (the black one) seems very keen on being friends. Hopefully it won't be long before they start grooming through the mesh.
here's a pic of them

My gerbils absolutely loved all kinds of bugs; roaches, crickets, locusts, mealies, waxworms etc
I can't see calci worms causing any issues

Lovely pic of them - fingers crossed they become best pals

Thanks Figs, I might offer locusts at some point too!
I am being cautiously optimistic, I've seen some positive behavior from them both and no aggression,it was rather nerve racking knowing they could touch and potentially grab at each over through the mesh! If and when the partion comes out and they get to meet I think I will be a nervous wreck! I won't even think about taking the partion out until I see them regularly grooming through the mesh and sleeping next to each other.
