Well you know how it is - he was going to be a 'Loki' but when I finally got him home, he just wasn't. I'm hoping it will just float into my head but it's been a month & nothing :(
I'm not very imaginative at names, I mean the corn is called 'Hiss' because he's a snake lol

If you have ever seen the film Dogma by Kevin Smith how about "Bartleby" instead of "Loki"? He played a fallen angel in that, just like Loki!

I'm exactly the same as you....I had to get a friend to name my last snake and I was so pleased when she chose Asher, it really suits him. I know what you mean about some names just not being right. You could name him Aristo, as in aristocrat, or Lord something....because he's a royal .

I really like the name Hiss, it suits him .

you raedy for some names? showed the kids and they came up with a list each.
my 5 year old son said. Paddy as it looks like a Paddy. Bumble, because it looks like a bee (dont ask lol) Sssssam snake, had to spell it that way coz he said so. Slinky, Snickers because he looks like the same colour as a snickers wrapper. oh and his favourite was Bob I asked why and he said because he really really really looks like a Bob. His list took two mins.

Now my daughter (8)went a bit more in depth and took a pen sheet of paper and went of with the iPad to research.
Basil the basilisk (from harry potter i think), Monty as in monty python, said he should be a girl then you could call her Ana as in anaconda, also got Kaa from jungle book. Mr Crowly from a terry pratchet book (not heard that one myself). Jake the snake from Rango. And also got a few daft ones eg Basket, rugby, foot, bouncy as you have a BALL python you get it? She was over the moon with those ones. But in the end she also decided on Bob. So they are now expecting to see one of their names on your posts. Told them not to hold their breath.

Right then;names for a royal?Weeell our 2 started as JIM(royal)and BLUE(royal blue).
However due to their capricious and bloody minded nature they are now:

BUGARIT and BUGARUM as in bee-you-gee-gee-ee-are had to do that phoneticaly as I recon 'swear word' would be censored!

Beautiful looking snakes Hiss has a lovely colour to him and the royal looks so calm and some of his pattern makes me think of Paul off the film with the Alien.

So you could call him Paul lol, or since Loki was in Norse god mythology there's always Thor or Odin.

I personally like Mythological Greek, Roman and Norse names .

Good luck with the name search took me a few days!
