Have you tried to feed them yet?
The basics are the same as for cornsnakes except royals diet is mainly rats.
I'd use a rat for scenting a pinkie for first feed.
They can live off the yolk they have from the egg for a while so don't panic if they refuse a feed for a while.
Let us know how it goes.....

YEp,left them well alone for a week then gave them a nice freshly warmed rat pup.Left them with it overnight in their feeding boxes-and then the little swines rewarded me by doing a runner and hiding behind curtain!
Got half a mind to rename then Bugrit and Bugrum

Quoted from The Complete Ball Python book...
"If the snake does not eat within the first fifteen minutes I would advise removing the rodent because too much rodent activity at this point can be a negative factor. Wait another five days and try again. Remember, snakes are typically born with a belly full of yolk and it serves them well. It may take a few weeks for the baby to become hungry enough to eat it's first meal" ...... Unquote.

Edit to say I hope I'm not breaking any copyright or forum rules by quoting from a book. I'm just trying to help a fellow member, sorry if it's wrong to do this!

They are gorgeous... you'll probably get more answers on the Royal Python forum - but this is just something I read ( in a futile hope of maybe one day getting a royal ): Imported CF hatchlings often come with a parasite burden, might be worth having a poop checked, once they eat and produce one :-)

Don't worry too much, you have just as much chance of getting them to eat, as anyone else - probably more, as you already know a few tricks, and are looking for more advice. Again, I read they often take a while to start feeding, but once they do, they often become a very good feeders. Good luck with them, they are well worth it :-)

no handling, leave them alone in their housing they take longer to settle than corns especially after the journey thay have had.. dont like the fact that they have never fed but the joys of CF animals.

Superheat the rats head and leave it with them, i dont see why you cant lave rodent in overnight as there will be no rodent activity as the rodents are dead lol.

Try again in a week and see how it goes.

also keep these well away from your current collection as captive farmed snakes may well be carrying parasites I cannot strss enough the serious major need for quarantine in this instance

One of our royals was CF and I have to say he is the better feeder of our two the other being CB. I believe most captive farmed will not have been fed or even had a drink before entering the uk there is less likely a problem from parasites that way.
Just don't stress over the feeding to much, I am sure they pick up on this and pay you out even more.

P.S. - it sounds awful now I read it after myself - it's all very easy for me to say all that - but if it were me in your shoes, I'd be panicking as well , I'm the worst one for that...

Thanks all-I've climbed down of the ceiling now these chaps are in a DIFFERENT ROOM to our other guys, and I will get some poop checked soon as we have some.
Jim and Jersey(not my choice of names)are now very much bolder than when we first got them.In the evening they roam about their little faunariums,I like to think they are looking for nosh-most likely looking for a way out!
I've seen some pics.of a 'farm'they are produced in mind boggling numbers-I guess that's why they are cheap.
Still,I wont be sending my dearest out for frozen food again any time soon-at least not when 150 Royals have just arrived

Once again thanks for being super helpful folks-will let you all know how they get along

If you haven't already it may be worth sticking dark card to 2 sides of their fauns to help them feel more secure and offering food in low light. I was advised to stick the rats head in boiling water for a couple of seconds and then dry it before offering, up to now my royal has had one missed feed (the first).

Good luck, they are lovely little ones.

thanks,I offer them food only at night when they are active-so far I've tried warmed up rat pups/fuzzy's and split heads.
Anyone know how long they can go on their 'yolk sack'? I leave the food in overnight.
They are both drinking o.k,and bimble about in the evenings.
The rest at the reptile shop (150 of them) are also not eating yet apart from 10 of them.
We don't handle them except to change water etc.
I guess its just a waiting game-thanks for all your support
