Well today it's been a week since I got my Carpet Python so decided I'd try give her a handle! Through the week while changing water she's been striking at me and arching up and she also refused a feed on Thursday!
She bit me once during the week yet today while handling she was just striking at me and didn't bite!
Any tips on taming snakes and also any feeding tips as she's refused a few feeds in the past after getting the feeding records during the week!
Thanks in advance

I wouldn't try and handle her until you get her established feeding. Just change her water and leave her alone apart from that. When feeding make sure the prey is warm/hot before you offer, I run the hot water tap as hot as it will get and fill a bowl and put the rat in there for a few minutes to heat it up and then offer it straight after so it doesn't cool down to much. Only offer once a week at the most and do it in the evening. Don't panic too much yet they can go a long time without a feed.

She's currently shedding now so that's why she refused and guessing why she's being p*ssy!
I'm going to leave her to shed, then offer her a rat on Thursday again as she accepted 2 before I got her.
Thank you for your help!

Yep, shedding can make them super defensive and some just won't entertain feeding whilst in the process. Don't forget the pics of a nice shiny snake after she shed
