Welcome to corn snake keeping Steve ! You will discover that Danno will do everything in his power to frustrate you, worry you and wind you up !!
I'm not at all surprised you missed his first shed.....I'm sure they wait until we're not looking on purpose, quickly slip out of their old skin and, when we turn back, are proudly slithering around showing off their 'new' colours . I know it's no consolation but you have many sheds still to witness....if Danno let's you!
I do hope it was a nice clean shed. Pics are now required of him looking all 'new' and smart .

That's great to hear Steve , it's always a relief to have a clean shed. And don't worry, you'll get to see him shed.....you've got about 15yrs worth of sheds to catch !

Haha slink has shed about 7-8 times since I've had her and the closest I've got to seeing her doing the deed is seeing the very last couple of inches coming off. I can't wait to catch her in the act (hopefully this week as she is in blue at the moment!). Good luck catching Danno next time! |

My corn snakes always shed when I'm not looking. I'm almost certain they do it intentionally, the number of times I've stayed up late or stayed eyes glued to the viv for ages only to leave for a couple of minutes, return and they've slyly done it! Little trouble makers! |

Danno looks absolutely great now. I have given up on the thought of even seeing my girl shed - she is a total attention queen for everything apart from eating, drinking and anything I might like to see - roaming the viv, moving it round - oh yeah, I can see that. Anything that might actually put my mind at rest? Not a chance! Glad you got a good complete shed off him |

He's gorgeous Steve, very interesting head markings. And it does look like a great shed.
As you can see from everyone's comments, you aren't alone in missing your snake shed....and it won't be the last time either .
