So I am curious about bio active substrates and planted vivariums, I quite fancy doing something like this in the future but my concern is would humidity be an issue? Any one got any experience with bio active and corns?

Not with corns but use them with the frogs and cresties. Try keep the humidity above 60 percent so wouldn't work for corns. You could poss use live plants in pots on the cool side without affecting the humidity but not sure if it would work x

It could work, but you would have to varnish the inside of the viv to stop the substate rotting the wood.

Another thing would be heating. You would need a bulb as a mat wouldn't be effective...

cheers all, I got the book the art of keeping snakes which was sort of what inspired me just wondered on every ones thoughts. I knew I'd have to change my heating method and that I would probably need lighting for the plants to grow, wasn't too sure on the humidity aspect. thanks for the link Dan
I will be doing lots and lots of research before I even consider trying it!
