My wee man is just a year old. Had huge problems with him to begin with but with time and perseverance we got there. Till now ............. His whole temprament has changed? He now strikes the minute i go near him. Whereas before he was pretty easy going at feeding time he now comes at the fluff like a steam train then strikes at it from a distance. He still hides in his wee hide most of the time but now peeks out to see whats going on. All in all he's making it very difficult and when you have an OH who would need no excuse to see him go, that makes it all the worse!!
My eldest corn is very much hit n miss as to how hes going to be, but fine when out of the viv. He isnt in blue is he? Can get defensive when about to shed.
What does he weigh? Maybe he's hungry and it's time to move up a food size? What are his temps in the viv? One of mine changed drastically last year, and it turned out his thermostat was faulty and the poor thing was trying to escape his roasting viv!
His viv is the same temps as usual - he refuses to come out of his warm hide. He shed a fortnight ago so dont think its that. Maybe its time to go up a food size? He's been shedding more frequently and still on fluffs, whats the next size up? Dear god, just as i thought i was getting the hang of him?! Not handled him in over a week now as was away in Scotland, so will feed him on Sunday with a new size and then see how we go handling wise on Tuesday. He's an anti social wee bugger just like his owner!!
The next size up is a small mouse, but if you think that would be too big for him you can always try giving him 2 x fuzzies at one feed. Just wait until the first one is down a little before offering the second
