So here's Sakana from above. As you can see she's a triangular shape, widening at the bottom. Her spine isn't raised now but despite everything, she doesn't lose the fat at the bottom without her spine protruding. See why I am so confused with her?
And look what Cereus has done to himself. He curled that tightly that he actually caused a line through all his scales. It sorted itself out eventually with a damp cloth and a lot of handling to stretch him out but I still worried lol
Anyay, I have other pictures to put in the photo's section |

I think you really need the snake out on a flat surface to see their body shape properly - in that pic she obviously has part of her body in the air as she goes over Cereus so you cannot tell anything at all. Also more of the snake at once needs to be seen, and ideally showing the hip area as that is the bit which tends to get fat first. Even on an overweight snake you should be able to see the slight dip in the spine as they move and use their muscles.
The Cereus pic isn't working - but again folded scales is a definite sign of being quite overweight, and he does still look quite chubby in the other photos. |

I can see what you mean, she does look triangular. I think I've read somewhere, that once they have "tyres", they are very hard to loose. I'd be careful, though, if the two of them were to breed, she should not be actively dieted. |

She's flat to the substrate... That's Cereus' tail.
It's not folded scales, he just curled in on himself too tightly. Here's the pic. I pulled him out of a ball like mess and stretched him out a bit and he was fine

Yeah, that's his tail lol. You can see the dip in her spine(not in photo's very well but in person) so when I diet her like I currently am, she just loses weight off her spine instead of her hips and sides. If you get what I mean. I have a picture of her hips here but she won't lose them no matter what.
She doesn't look at triangular in that photo due to being curled up lol. |

I would say that's a fat crease. And in that last pics looks like where the vent is and you can see how short it goes from the body to the tail. It should be a gradual decrease in girth. I would still say they are both over weight. But that's my opinion x |

If it was a fat crease why did it only appear after he'd curled himself so tightly that the area was practically folded in half and then disappear after stretching him out and it hasn't come back since? Just confuses me. And Sakana will not lose the hips, after my mum feeding them they've gone back up to 800 grams but are slowly losing again after I got them down to 700 grams each. Sakana just loses weight off her back, not off her sides and hips. Ever. Her sides and hips were still the same size at 700 grams as they were when she started the diet at 900 grams. Also, Cereus has no hips or anything. His is all muscle. |
