Hi All,
Got my new corn snake yesterday. Her name is Jasmine and she's all set up in her new home. She had recently been feed when I got her, so has been in her hide constantly since she was put into her faun. I suppose is understandable, she's settling in and digesting her meal.
Hope to get some pictures up once she's a bit more active. I may have a couple of questions along the way as well as this is my first snake.
Cheers Paul |

Thanks guys, she's popping her little head out of her hide from time to time, but will take some time for her to get used to her strange new home and the strange individual who is in the same room as it :). |

Welcome to the forum Yeah, that wait to handle a new snake is so hard! It always seems to pass by so slowly. |

Welcome to both of you. It's very hard to wait, but at least she's in the same room and you can watch her. They're so cute when they're periscoping out of the hide like that. I used to have Little T in the bedroom with me, to isolate him from Bazil to start with, and it was so nice watching him roam in the evenings... he watched me, too, and he's still much tamer than Bazil, even now. I think they get better chance to get used to you like that. I miss having him in the bedroom, now he's in his big viv in the hallway. You might find she'll venture out more and more, as the week goes by. |

Thanks Razee, they definitely are, she's a shy one, but I did get her on the back of feed and a journey from Dunfermline to Glasgow, so it's understandable that she'll take her time before exploring. I'm looking forward to watching her roam though.
That's a pity he's no longer in the bedroom anymore, but they grow up so fast ;).

Cheers guys, there is a little head poking out for most of the evening, but I think she's waiting for me to leave so she can explore in peace :). |
