I'm now worried ( for change, ha ) about both of my snakes, but will do a separate thread for each.
First - Bazilishka. Could she be carrying eggs? The snakes went to a boarding in September, and I asked for separate enclosures. I'm sure they'd have been kept singly, well , I hope so, BUT:

Bazil's last shed came much sooner, and seemingly for no reason, as she hasn't grown even 5mm , ( she sheds every 4 cm ), and she has no skin injuries. She looks bulky, and completely changed her habits, now sitting on the warm side all the time. Last feed - she was NOT interested at all, whilst normally she's very voracious feeder. I did manage to convince her in the end and she ate. She's just gone blue AGAIN, less than month after the previous shed, and put on lots of weight. She hasn't grow, just fattened. She's 2 years old.

We are going away, with just my stepson staying home, and my stepdaughter coming in to do their water. I was originally thinking about turning the mats off when away, to make it easier for her, but changed my mind ( another thread ). Well, now I definitely won't be switching the mats off.

I'm worried Bazil's carrying eggs ( even infertile ones ). Can you tell by shape of the snake, or can you actually feel the eggs, if they're pregnant?

You can feel them, let her glide through your fingers and ever so slight pressure between your fingers. It goes snaaaaaaaasake bump bump bump (bout an inch long)

I had exactly the same issue with my boy, guess what? She laid eggs 5 months of me owning 'him' (and I never had her with another snake).

One of the eggs hatched but he didn't last more than 2 months :(

Thanks, Serena. She's in the deepest blue now, but I handled her couple of days ago, and didn't feel any bumps, so that looks good, hope she's just fattening up :-)
That puts my mind at rest.

You can't really feel the eggs during the early stages of her being gravid, though. Just keep an eye on her and gently feel her every now and then. The eggs are soft, so it's not like feeling chicken eggs or something.
