Went to feed Cornflake tonight and she started to eat her mouse and got most if the head in. Then all of a sudden she spat it back out and backed away. Why would she do this? Was feeding her a small adult mouse as usual (mouse 12g approx, Cornflake 118g at last weigh in).
Just incase there was something wrong with the mouse, we binned it and will try with a new one tomorrow. FYI we buy frozen and defrost them in a tub at room temperature for about 4 hours.
Can anyone help? |

| Did you do anything to frighten her? If she does it again, try putting her in a room to herself for an hour or two. Also, the mouse may be too big, but if she eats that size normally there shouldn't be a problem. Although, if she does it again it may not be a bad idea to downgrade a mouse size. |
