I have a vx24 (see picin link) I have only currently purchased what you see seeing as floor space is very limited with the housing and water bowl I thought i would get some ideas from you lovely people. I need advice on which plant would be best and if a Vine/Rope is a good idea and method of fixing it to the viv. what Logs/deco could i buy for a hatchy to enjoy a good climbing session. Thanks to anyone who takes time to read or reply x

Fake ivy from dunelm mill is always good for greenery, if you want to hang something like rope or vines then I screwed a couple of these into the roof of my viv

You can get exo terra vines from most reptile pet shops but from what I remember they aren't the cheapest http://www.exo-terra.com/en/products/jungle_vines.php or I got some manila rope from b & q and made my own

This is my vivarium. It's the same version as yours but in beech. There's loads you can do with a quick visit to ikea and Dunelm.
There's also this thread with loads of different vivs to take your ideas http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=26234
Good luck and keep us updated

I googled rope braiding and it came up with lots of different techniques and I am sure there will be one for making eyelets at the end |

The glorious temple of Poundland has flexy ties. 3 feet foam covered bendy wires used for quick secure twist tying things like ladders to roof racks.
At 2 for £1 they make bargain jungle vines.

Mr.Strange Just get a screw turn it through the knot in either end of the rope. Then twist the screw into the hole at the top of the viv, where you tighten to secure the top of the vivarium.
Mind just seen the Eye Splice and will be using that on my next vivarium
Here's a pic:
Never had any problems, just make sure that it fits and there's no sharp edges. |

Welshlamb, No that is just like thick string. The twist ties I am talking about are 3' long, half inch diameter with plastic end caps. Have a look in the tool section. I can't see them in the catalog but my local store had them last week.
It is similar to the Fake Jungle Vine but with a plain texture on the foam. http://www.surreypetsupplies.co.uk/exo-terra-bendable-jungle-vine-large.html
The bedside cabinet on the bottom left has a bundle of them.
