Hello!

We are a tad worried about our new snake, could be male of female, 2 1/2 years old.

He was fed a mouse 2 weeks ago, and then another on Tuesday, but still hasn't poohed from either mouse...can this be normal?

His first mouse in his new home went through him fine (although it did take 7 days when the previous owner said it only took him 3 days to pass it).

He also doesn't go near his heat mat any more, he actually isn't moving around a lot, except to have a drink.

Any advice would be great thank you :)

What temperature is the heat mat? Sometimes they do take a while to pass especially if they are due to shed as they like to give you 2 presents at the same time

Sometimes it is normal. Apollo tends to go every 3rd or 4th feed, he does one huge nasty stinky poop. It is normal for him to do that. His temps and shedding and everything are fine.

As long as your temperatures are within the acceptable range for corn snakes (26-29 degrees) as measured by a digital thermometer with a probe on top of your heat mat, then it may just be normal for your snake.

Do you have a stat? The temperatures vary hugely without one which could be the source of the problem
