He'll be fine for the short time you're away We left ours for 5 days earlier in the year with no problems, so try not to worry As for the dumping on your friend, well what can I say, you were lucky to dodge the bullet there |

Ahh what did you di about water? Did U put 2 differnt pots in or just keep it to the 1 dish?
I am a lil worried about temps as well coz the house temp does drop abit. It gets down in the Viv to about 18oc some times in the cold end. This is when I normally put the heater on but obv when I am away I can't do this. Is it ok for the cold end to be this cold. Hot end temps are always between 27 to 28.5.
Thanks for the quick response :) |

I use rabbit food bowls for water, so they're quite big. I fed them all early enough to make sure they had been to the toilet before I went away, so only left the one big bowl of water for each of them As long as the warm end is a stable temperature there's no need to worry about the cool end being a bit low, not at this time of year anyway |

Hi, we left Cornelius for a week in Sept & he was fine. We filled his small & large water bowl with water & they were still ok when we got back. There's nothing you can do about the temp on cold side & we just fed him a day later than normal. |

You should be fine leaving him for that long (although if possible i'd get someone to change the water for you...)
As for being pooped on, That is perfectly normal, I avoid it by only handling after they have done the business after their last meal...
P.S. Did anyone see that Come Dine WIth Me ages ago where the woman's corn snake pooped on the table when she got him out? CLassic! |
