hi everyone, inherited our first corn snake from a family member last month. We have a snow corn named Bubbles. so far so good, she is approx 2foot long and eating 1 fuzzy every 5 days although I think we may have to increase this soon. Bubbles is about 10 to 11 months old.
amazing site you have.

Thanks everyone. Just fed bubbles and checked her weight. She is 105g and just over 2 foot long. If we increase her feed from one fuzzy to 2 fuzziness will we need to go from feeding every 5 days to every 7? She is always looking for more food after feeding and never seems to have a bump.

Try a small mouse every 7 days, if not good enough try a medium

Thanks scottishbluebird. Im a bit reluctant to go up in size of mouse. I'm worried her mouth is not big enough which was why I was thinking of trying 2 fuzzies. Should the size of food b judged by the snakes head or body size? There seems to be both answers on the forum.

general rule is prey 1 1/2 size of the widest part of the body. you'll be amazed what they can get get in their mouths! 8 weighs 63g and is taking a small mouse every 7 days. when i first offered a small it worried me but he wasn't bothered in the slightest.

Thanks lupi Lou. I've seen it else where in the forum that it should be 1 and 1/2 time the size of the head not the body. That's why I'm confused.

Lol I'll feed her 2 fuzzes every 7 days until food runs out and then move up to all mice then. Thanks for your help.
