Assuming this is a new snake, I would hold off the handling until he is eating properly... 99% of the time non-feeding is to do with the snake not feeling comfortable... I'd wait 5 days in between trying to feed. And also, I don't know if you are feeding outside the viv but maybe leave the defrosted mouse on a lid or something in the viv.
Final suggestion: I've had bad luck in the past with defrosting in warm water as it washes the mousey-smell off, therefore maybe try a natural defrost over a couple of hours or whatever, then give it a warm up with a hairdryer, then leave in viv with a towel covering it for that extra-safe feeling.. :)
