Spencer has become, well I'm not sure if its viv defensive or permanent feeding response. I only have to touch his viv and shoots out towards my hand. If I open the door he shoots out of his hide and strikes towards my hand. Changing water is good for him to he follows your hand like he is hunting it any sudden movements and he strikes for it. When you get him out of the viv he is not very settled either. He use to just sit and relax on our laps but now he is moving quickly fixating on any thing that moves and continuously tasting fingers or any thing else he comes into contact with with his tongue. Any ideas as to what could have caused this behaviiour change? It started two weeks ago. Nothing in his viv has changed. Any advice / suggestions welcome and will be listened to

Don't say that. We had a very bad experience recently with a supposed male corn ended up having her put to sleep :(
He was bought from a reputable breeder as a definate male. I have no reason to think otherwise, tail shape is that of a male as well.
We took Spencer in about a year ago so although we have not had him since a hatchling he is not a new snake for us. |
