i know the initial set up cost would be a tad expensive (?), but what would you say is the rough monthly cost of keeping a bearded dragon? how much time do you have to spend with them each day/week?

and are they easy to keep pets? from what i have read they are relatively easy to care for.

always nice to hear from people who actually own them though :)

also - strange one - how do you get the live food out of the tub without lots and lots of them jumping out? like say you only need 4 crickets - how do you get 4 out and keep the others inside the box? haha.

Hi check out mybeardeddragons.com I'm one of the mods and breed them. They are a fairly easy reptile to look after, you would need to do daily checks and change salad daily. A young beardie shall be more expensive as they eat a lot more. A adult would cost around 15-20 pounds a month in just live food bare in mind your electric shall go up a tad as there are more heating/lighting requirements.

Live food can be slowed down by popping the container in the fridge for half hour or so,I then tend to put the required amount in another container/bag with the correct supplement if needed.

Dump the crickets and get into dubia roaches! Better nutrition, hey dont jump or climb and they wont bite your lizard :) I can't stress how good they are enough!

FYI I get mine from http://www.roachcolony.com/index.asp
