I've had her for around a month now, and I've just got round to weighing her for the first time. She's only 41 grams.
She was sold to me as a two year old on rat pups, and she fitted into a cricket box comfortably. She's grown a lot since she's been with me and would nowhere near fit in one now. She's around 2 foot long. But only 41 grams? She doesn't look underweight at all, and her head and body size match up fine. Is she just really small? Yet to go through a growth spurt? She's as thick as a finger around.
She's eaten well since I've had her and eats fluffs once a week. She's shed once. Her heat mat takes up around a third of her RUB and fluctuates between the high 26's and the low 30's.
My question is, is she okay? Has anyone else had experience with a corn snake of this size?
Check the weight first if i was you. 41g seams low for 2 year old an 2 ft. I'd be expecting 200ish I'm guessing faulty scales her myself. Either that or she's alot younger than you been told
I do find it hard to believe she's 2 years old. But she's not skinny in any way, and she seems well in proportion. It's almost like she's just not filled out at all, and is just a slender snake. But yeah, 41 grams is so low :/ I'll give her a rest then weigh her again. I used digital scales for it though...
