Fed Ace on Sunday after his shed, so today should be handling day ................ l've lost my nerve with all the striking pre shed and on feeding day!
Feel sick at the thought.
Please help me!!!!! The last thing l want to do is get rid of him but he just seems as unhappy as l am?!
Wondering if he's still hungry after the shed as well.
Maybe i should give him another feed so he's back to normal before trying to handle him again?
Jeez this sucks

Have you tried opening the viv and letting him come out to you? Does he calm down once he is out or is he like it all the time?

He never comes out when anyone is about, only comes out at night when everyone is sleeping.
He gets very agitated when you lift his hide then strikes out and if you get as far as lifting him he flies through your hands trying to get away from you.

He does what star used to do and still does sometimes, it really is perseverance and confidence don't hesitate when you go to pick him up or he will sense your nerves. Star always calms down once she out and chilled for 2 mins

We bought some non-rubberised gardening gloves (the really light weight ones) when we were struggling with our nerves around Ginn, the savage kingsnake. They helped so much, we felt much more confident and she could obviously tell as well and behaved herself. Believe they cost £2 from a local garden centre.

We don't need them any more because we know her show is worse than her bite and we've been bitten enough times to know that we'll survive.
