ROFLMAO. Add one foot for every pint of snake-bite he had drunk. In reality is was just a hatchling.
The Army Snatch Squads were too busy with Olympics tour of duty and were actually relieved at not having to face such a fearsome beast. |

Not just how can they GET a helicopter... but do they not realize that having a helicopter using thermal imaging to find an animal that's the SAME TEMPERATURE AS IT'S ENVIRONMENT, is how should I put it... stupid?
So strong it was able to fend off 3 fully grown men... lol |

Yes using thermal sensors for a cold blooded reptile is rather nonsensical. Plus, I would be more worried about a venomous snake rather than a constrictor, we generally don't keep anti-venoms stocked very high in this country. Besides, if it was thrown into a bin 3 times before it got a bit hissy then it's a pretty calm snake.
It's also a cost to our tax money, choppa's aren't cheap! |

What can you say to stories like that Maybe as a nation we should hire the python hunters or somebody like that to track and capture all of the 'deadly' corn snakes that are on the loose so our children can sleep safe at night |

This story is amazing! But having links to the Police, I can tell you right now they woukdnt call a chopper for just any old snake.. Some daft member of the oublic would have probably told them it was a giant python or something... Still not great, but it would have been sensational exaggeration by the public or media. Misinformed public more likely. Sad eh? |

Heres my comment on that article
That is a harmless corn snake. And the fact it says it could harm a child is rediculous. People like this journalist need to educate themselfs before commenting on an iccident they no sod all about. I own 6 corn snakes. And kids love them. Their teeth are about 1or 2 mm and they would not constrict something they cant eat. This is the reason why soo many people are scaredof such beautiful creatures. If some people took the amount of time moaning about them and actually got to learn and own one they would realise how beautiful and interesting they are. And a helicopter to look for a 4 ft snake thats about as thick as a £2 coin. Stupid or just wasting time. |

Watch out people, I'm thinking of setting free my 9 inch 4.5g hatchling, lock up your children/dogs/cats, he's a killer.
(I'm kidding, I would never do such a thing!)
