I find that its hard to get a good variation of temperature in such a small box.

I think mine are set up alright, they're just surrounding a heat mat, each with about 2" of the tub on the heat mat.

Also, what do you use as hides (ive used cut up toilet roll tube) and water bowls? (Milk bottle lids)
and any other good tips that you may have pleases :)

Stick the milk bottle lids down with blu tack ..
or i got some adhesive gel spots from wilkos for 50p
they're really good so the hatchies don't tip it over!

cut a bog roll in half lengthways for hides (get twice as many hides and they can't wedge inside them when you need to clean out), kitchen roll substrate, and ikea glimma tealight holders for water dishes
