Hi can anyone offer some advise, I'm having probs with my snake, I've had him "Cyril" 7 weeks now and this is his 2nd shed, only he has retained quite a bit of his skin, is there anything I should be doing? his viv is heated by a heat mat, and does not have a light source(should it)in there!!
I have put an extra water bowl in there but its not helping, he is also very quiet, I only see him when I get him out, he's been like this just over a week now....????he has no probs with eating, he eats once a week on 2pinkys.

Any advise would be appreciated as Cyril is my 1st snake

Thanks in advance

making a damp moss hide and putting it in the viv just as your snakes eyes clear after going blue allways works for me

on a rare occassion my corns will retain a few inches of shed, often down to the skin breaking before they can get it all off
you can help it off of them by letting them worm through your hands with a little more grip than usual
works for me double check the eyes and tip of tail when they're done

Thanks all for your advise, I've now put moss in and changed one of his hides for a nice rough coconut one...

Thanks again :)
