will it effect my cornsnake if i dont allways turn on his daylight bulb during the day ? becuase he seems to only come out when its off.
the bulb doesnt make any extra heat.

Corn snakes dont need any sort of additional lighting - for most people its to light up the viv to give better viewing.

If you really want some kind of lighting in there make sure you use a timer(and a bulb guard!).

iv got a light bulb in there now its one of them little tube ones that dont get hot at all.
my question is will it matter if some days i dont turn it on at all
will it effect the snake in any way

If he gets natural daylight then i cant see it affecting him.

Most snakes come out in the dark anyway.

corns are crepescular (most active at dawn and dusk) they do not need any additional lighting, but if you want to put one in so you can see him better then there's no problem with that. :)
