After almost 3 weeks little Orlando has just eaten for the first time I had to do the chick thigh trick with the help and thanks from the snake guy in Suffolk Reptiles. He cut the legs & feet off 2 chicks (I couldn't bring myself to do it as a chicken keeper, pathetic I know ) and gave me them for free
I left 2 pinkies in at 3pm, and went up to take them away 10 minutes ago. I turned on the viv light to remove them and as soon as I lifted the first one he shot out of the hide and grabbed the second before I took it away!I watched him eat it and put the other in with him, which he gulped down before trying to eat the kitchen roll they had been sitting on So excited, at long last we may get a hold of him in a couple of days

Great news, try it again for a few more weeks then just try on unscented again, sometimes they just need a little kickstart.

Thanks I will. I still have 3 thighs left in the freezer, so will use them over the next 3 feeds and try unscented after that. It was so nice to see him eating something

Thank you. Sometimes they just need a little extra time. The poor little guy came to me after 2 days travelling and he was blue when he got here, so I sort of expected him to take a while to settle in.

I got him out last night and it was worth the wait
