Both of mine always eat on the night after shedding no problems. Every snake is different but I think a lot of peoples eat after shedding. |

He hasn't eaten for 1 month, still nothing! We took him for a full health inspection and he is perfect! No twisted gut, all good teeth, good body mass, bright eyes, bright skin .. the expert thinks that he is just a very sexual snake, and even though he is only 9 months old, he is looking for love, and that after his next shed, he should be fine! :'D |

As above, temps should be about 28 degrees. If he doesn't think it's warm enough to digest, he won't eat. Good luck next week, hope he eats for you. Also, if he's not eating he's not very likely to shed as he won't be growing! |

When I put the temps up, he was suddenly very lethargic, and could barely move. I thought he was dead at one stage. When I put the temps down he went back to his normal self :) |

Sorry if you've already said (skimmed the thread but didn't see) but how are you measuring temps? Is it a digital thermometer on top of the mat? Or do you have a bulb? again sorry if already gone through this lol! |

I have two thermometers (neither are digital) both measuring the temp, they are located just above the heat mat :) |

Ah right - if it's the dial ones then they usually read lower than the actual temp, so the real temp is probably a perfect 28 lol! Sorry, all I can say is good luck and hope he feeds soon :( |

It's been 1 month and 3 days .. and he's still going strong!
Making sure the camera is not prey!
His markings from above .. I think he knows he's pretty, and I think he thinks he can get any snake he wants >.<
had to grab him before he made a hasty escape! |

Do give the chick thigh scenting a go, it's a pain to do but worth it to get them eating again |

how sure are you that he is he? lol might sound odd, but it could be to do with wanting to breed? i hear all too often of a 'he' turning out to be a 'she'
