Since Jake moved house last night we decided to measure and weigh him.
He's about 2 years old ish? Not 100% as he was found in the street.
Now he's currently 4ft 3 or 4" and weighs 500g exactly. He's fed on one 'large mouse' every 7 - 10 days. I feel that he could go up a size as I'm sure these mice are not 'large'. I will get a picture shortly and perhaps I can compare.
Any comments regarding his weight/length greatly appreciated

Ah yes indeed. Well my friend was walking into town centre and this snake just happened to slither in front of him! So he picked him up and took him home and put him in a small rub. He then found out he was a corn snake and what they needed etc. He didn't have time for him as he had 3 beardies at the time. So he asked us whether we would consider taking him in. So from a small dot of a snakey we now have a rather cute Jakie :) No idea where he came from, but after reading some peoples stories of their snakes going missing I wonder whether he escaped from his viv and managed to get out onto the street? Who knows, but we feel very lucky to have him :)

one large every 7-10 days is fine for a snake of his age/length/weight.

Wow yours are pretty much half the size of mine! Isn't it strange how they differ?!

Thanks Mamma - Nice to know I am still doing things right! How big are what you consider large mice?

Harry will be 2 in August, he's currently approx 3ft long and weighs about 190g, he's been on smalls but i'm going to move him onto mediums as soon as my stock of smalls has gone, he gets one every 7-10 days.

Lilly will be 2 in September, she's almost 4ft and weighs about 240g, she's been on mediums for a while, she gets fed every 7-14 days.

they all grow at different rates, part of what makes them special - in my eyes anyway

Hmm, I shall have to get a new battery for my digital scales and give them a weigh. I asked at the pet shop for the next size up and they seemed HUGE there didn't seem to be anything in between for him. I guess you're right Tordy they are all special in their different shapes and sizes :)
