Diablo has escaped this morning and i cant find him anywhere, he is only 8 months old so not like he is a big snake to find. I have put hides down with water and food in bottles and also done the flour around the door etc.
Anything else i should know? i have done all this in just my room as it isnt my house...what can i do in the others... Vey worries too as i have 2 dogs and they are free to roam the house alone
So upset...my first escapee...he managed to pull out the vents in his viv somehow I have had my room upsode down with no luck. |

Oh no, you are doing the right things, just hope you get him back soon xx If you have a cat or dog go in room with them, might sniff him out, but dont leave them in room alone |

Good luck, hope he comes back soon - you might find he'll seek out warmth. My brother had an escaped snake at his lab, they found it curled around one of the hot water pipes going to the radiator. (the snake was a lab pet, not used for testing on)
With the hides and water you've put out maybe wrap a water bottle or a heat matt in a towel so there is warmth where you want it to be - should attract him. You could also put down plastic bags and sit in the dark (very still) later listening with a torch ready to show you where the noise is coming from.
If you do see him like this you'll have to move fast to get him back, but even if you don't you know he's still in the same room. |

So sorry to hear!
Do some middle of the night hunting.. like 2 or 3am.
Check behind all radiators and cables (computer etc.) hopefully he wont have gone too far. Probably having a huge adventure! so much new to see.
The carrierbag/tin foil method is a great idea, and like I say middle of the night would be your best bet to find him I reckon.
Good luck and don't lose hope! I've heard of people losing snakes for a long long time and then them suddenly turning up!
Someone on here (Can't remember who) woke up one morning and their long lost snakey was asleep on top of their Wii! |

most dogs will just bark at the snake! watch your dogs behaviour as well, when my corn got out my little dog maisie was sniffing around like crazy, she was also quite scared and cautious of how she sniffed! just a pointer |

this might sound daft but check the tank behind the toilet. (if you have 1 u can get to easly ) kasper (my 5 foot snake) used to escape out his old tank every day and i found him ontop of the balls in the tank 2 or 3 times. also check under your carpets in the corners mainly found him there afew times. duno how he gets these places he just dose. if you have no luck its a waiting game hel soon pop up they dont tend to go far. hope u find him |
