we bought our baby corn snake last saturday and his feeding day was on friday there but he did not take his feed so we are going to leave him and try feeding him next friday but should we start handling him day by day for a couple minutes at a time or should we leave that until he has had his first feed?

Why not try feeding him in the meantime? They don't always feed on the days that we set out to feed them- give it a go and see if he eats any other day, if he does then leave it 5 or so days between the next one.

Because she's already tried to LAdyV, so needs to wait a few days before trying again :)

Agreed, sorry, I know you are keen to hold your new snake, but best to get a feed in him first as he refused before :)
