My lovely corn snake's stopped eating from 3 weeks ago. I know that this might be normal due to the breeding season, as he is hyper active and looks absolutely healthy.
But I've started become worried as I felt that he is lighter than before, when I tried to lift him up today.
He is usually out of his cage at least 2-3 hours a day and going around my flat freely and he never wants to get back to his cage and moving around without getting tired. He seems healthy and happy.
I doubt if you could accurately tell if he has lost any weight in the space of 3 weeks. Big T didn't lose anything noticeable after 17 weeks fasting. As long as he is active and not showing any other adverse signs don't worry, it is normal for a snake.

As a33 said.... theres not much to worry about.. only a significant weight loss over a long period of time is something to worry about. Just continue to monitor the weight etc and hopefully your little dood will start eating again soon 3 weeks isnt a long period of time for a 2 year old snake to go without food.
Thank you so much for your advices, I feel much better now. Just another question, I was thinking to take him out in the fresh air and let him free on the grasses 2 days a week. Do you think this is a good idea?
That answers my question then - 4 year old male (had for about a year) feeds every week. Suddenly stopped eating 2 weeks ago and has become very active.. very unusual for him. Was starting to worry something was wrong.. reading all the answers above relaxes me now
