woke up this morning to find 12 eggs in with my Lyla
i think i got there just in time as the tips on a few were starting to dry out they should be ok though? i think? any thoughts?
they were still nice and white and soft apart from a little spot or two around the tops.
she was being really touchy though when i tried to get her out
sadly she toppled some of them over striking at me before i could mark which way up they were.
views?

hopefully will be ok,
just a bit concerned about the dry spots and the ones that she knocked over :(
incubating them anyway, hopefully a couple of lucky guesses will see them placed in correctly |

| you can put a few sheets of kitchen towel over them then spray them with water the same temp as the incubator,leave the wet kitchen towel there for 12 to 24 hours if you think they need re-hydrating. not much you can do with the 1's that got knocked over,i think it's when the embreyos start to develope they shouldn't be turned. so you should be alright. |

i might have been too late...
just went to take your advice about the paper towel but they've caved a little bit already and are no longer as white as they were
i've put the paper towel on anyway, the inc is sat at around 85f with 95%humidity (although it's rising due to the towels
can the damage that's been done be reversed? |

(they had moss on the top, for some reason i don't think lyla likes vermiculite lol)

| you only need a few sheets of paper towel,take it out tomorrow morning. the eggs that are caved in a bit might re-hydrate or it could be they were never going to make it no matter what you did. don't worry bad eggs will not affect the good 1's. don't think it's how long you took to get to them,1 of my females took 12 hours to lay her eggs the other day,so i didn't remove them until 13 hours after she started laying and there fine |

thanks, not sure what morph she is tbh,
she looks amel but she has those yellow pigments near her belly
her belly is also diffused so any suggestions as to what she might be are welcome lol
excited to see what hatches when she does have a successful clutch :) |

how have you got you're incubator set up. Is it a home made incubator?,are the eggs in a box on top of the heat mat or have
you got the vermiculite straight on top of the mat? |

it's better to have the eggs in a tub inside the incubator with no holes in the tub lid (you just lift the lid
once a week for an air exchange). the tub sits on top of the heat mat. your eggs will be drying out with the
vermiculite straight on top of the mat |

All done, gonna leave the damp towels on em for a couple of extra hours too.
(it will be 24 hours since i put them on at around 5 o'clock.)
fresh damp warm vermiculite aswell
all i can do now is hope lol
must say though i am known for having rubbish luck so i am not too hopeful
thank you for all your help :)
EDIT- one more question lol
will they return to white? or will they keep the dull colour they have at the moment? |

thinking about it i think it would be better if you can raise the egg box off the mat
slightly so the air can circulate around the eggs. also put the probe from your thermostat on your mat and the probe from your thermometer in with the eggs and adjust as needed |

Starting to puff out slowly
regaining a nicer colour aswell and most of the dry spots have gone :)
