Okay... lovely. The people who said they were going to look after my snakes while I was on vacation just said that they "might" be on vacation themselves, then. Now to find someone to look after them really quickly... or I'll have to take the eggs with me on the road o.o |

So... unless I find anyone to take care of the eggs before I leave tomorrow, or unless the eggs hatch between now and then, I'll have to take them with me. I'd really rather not do this, but I see no other options - I don't know anyone else who knows anything about snakes, and I've seen the way the local pet shops treat their reptiles.
Has anyone ever traveled with eggs before? Any experiences you'd like to share, any hints? Anything is appreciated really :S |

Oh, also, does anyone have any idea of the rules concerning traveling to poland with corn snakes? I found some general rules for taking pets to poland, and they basically state the following 2 things:
- your pet must have a micro chip (is that even possible with snakes? let alone eggs) - your pet must be vaccinated for rabies (snakes can't get that)
So... really don't know what to do. |

Okay... after a LOT of stress and arranging things, I found people who can look after my eggs properly. That is SUCH a relief... |

And here's the first pictures, taken by my parents, of the very first hatchling!
It's only a normal, but I love how much orange he shows already and how many connected dots he has starting from his head:

It's really hard for me to be away from them, but this vacation had been planned for almost a year. I'm travelling with my boyfriend and a close friend, so it wasn't just my own vacation either.
It's still really exciting to watch this from over the internet though, and I can't wait to actually see them myself and hold them! |
