Hey, just got my new snake and i got it out and fed it for the 1st time today. does anyone know any signs the snake might display if its angry, frightened etc?

Tail rattling. S'ing up (when they get into strike position buy forming an s shape near there heads) if your Snake fed it is most likely to be happy! :D

ahh thanks. are these the only signs that the snake is distressed? I got my snake out today and she was doing the 'S' thing but once i got her outa the tank she was fine. was she angry at me or just viv defensive :S

they get defensive rather than angry, although you've had her a week she will still be settling in and getting to know you. i've had 8 nearly two months and the cheeky monkey gave me a tail rattle the other day as i accidentaly supprised him.

just go in and nicely scoop them out, if its a hatchie you wont even feel the bite it will be more like a little headbutt if its a defensive strike. myst (my newest) done this to me when i startled her. they all take time to get used to you but as i said! you must be doing something right for it to eat! xD

the temps in the RUB is 24 degrees on the hot side, around 18-20 in the cool side. @darkkan3l i managed to feed her 2 pinkies today she took it down no problem!
