hi guys,
Just wanted to start a thread to find out where there are reptile vets.
I have not needed one as of yet.(touch wood) but i would like to know where one is if needed.
So if you know of any good reptile vets close to you that you have used or have been recommended to you if you can post them i will try and organise a sticky as a reference place, so if you ever need one in a hurry you can find one...
cheers guys...

There is a reptile specialist in the 'pets at home' store on Burfields Road in Portsmouth. You'll need to register your reps with them though otherwise the fees will be even higher. Free to register. |

Although Kellog seems healthy and happy (despite not eating for 10 weeks) would appreciate knowing of any reptile vets nearby just in case. Am based in Reigate, surrey. |

Hi,
I tried to find a local vet ready for my new arrival and my local vet in Alton told me the nearest one who is recommended for reptiles is Strathmore Vets in Andover. But havent actually used them myself.

Birmingham - 608 Veterinary Centre in Solihull, they also do out of hours service (usefull but expensive, as I found out when one of my corns managed to get stuck in something and damage a couple of scales - £60 for consulation and painkiller injection, then again it was 10pm!) |

For the time of night, plus being rep, that's not a bad price. |

I guess not! Just quite a lot for a skint student! lol, but then again, you can't put a price on a healthy, happy, pain free corn :) Actually hun, I've been reading a fair few of the posts and you seem pretty experienced - do you think you could take a look at my other post - one of my corns has a weird looking scale and I was wondering if it was anything to be too concerned about other than not looking particularly pretty - I have pix up
Cheers, Han xx |

If in the Bristol area .. I recommened Highcroft Vet Group at their Whitchurch or Brislington surgeries.
They have an excellent exotic vet who commutes between these surgeries .. her name is Polly Cornwell .. their other vets have basic knowledge about exotics but i always ask for Polly when i take my corn in cause shes just fab

In reply to nicky77 Strathmore Vets in Andover is very good I have my Anna corn Apollonia registered there and took her when she had a lump in her tail Although expensive it is well worth it. they have a few vets there that specialise in snakes and would not go anywhere else hope this helps for any one in the Wiltshire areas xxx |

If you're in the Midlands then these guys are really good:
Chine House Veterinary Hospital Sileby Hall, Cossington Road Sileby Loughborough Leicestershire LE12 7RS Tel: 01509 812446
They have one Rep specialist but he's also an enthusiast and a decent chap too! They charge £35 for a general health check. (no idea on treatment costs, touch wood I haven't needed that yet). |

Does anyone know of a good reptile vet in the Lincoln/Lincolnshire or Nottingham/Nottinghamshire area?
Planning on getting them probed at a vet since the local pet shop will charge me and I would rather pay and know they job will be done by a professional than someone who might not be. |
A very special super, duper thanks for K :3 |
