Do they do well as pets?

Depends what you want from a pet.

They can fast for long periods of time, this is what they are designed to do, so if you stress easily over a snake not feeding then no may not be an ideal pet.

They are generally inactive, so again if you want a snake that you can watch roam round the viv then again not the ideal pet.

Royals also can stress easily and go off foods.

However i have a few of these and find them to be not to bad as pets lol
