Ok so i just got Munki on friday but ive got a few questions regarding leaving him be for the first week.
1. The only thing im doing at the moment is changing his water everyday but this seems to stress him out still. Is this ok? Im guessing its better to stress him out for 30 seconds than leave him for a couple of days with the same water?
2. Ive bought some more things to put in his faun to keep him entertained (branches and vines and the like) Is it better to wait until the week is up before i put these in or should it just do it quickly and minimise the stress? He doesnt really have many places to hide yet (my fault for not getting them when i brought the rest of the stuff) so im thinking it will make him more comfortable for the rest of the settling in week.
3. He keeps hiding under the tissue im using as substrate so when i change the tissue im worried about putting the hides ontop of him and trapping him! Should i just nudge him to the other end or something or will he be strong enough to get out from under them if i put them down gently?
Sorry for the long post, probably just me being a paranoid new owner but i dont want to stress him out anymore than i have to! Thanks in advance!! :) |

Water will be fine for a week, all he needs is somewhere to hide, he does not need to be entertained and just be as gentle as you can when spot cleaning. |

He'll be fine. At the mo he's using the paper towel as a hide, once he's fed and settled you can plop his furniture in and then get to watch him explore. |
