yeah just a plug on a lead :( i dunno what i expected to be honest but i thought with it being a reptile product it would be a little more "clip this to that, screw on" type deal. not a "heres a plug on a lead, now use your imagination and lets see what you come up with"
im ranting i know :( but i was really in to setting up my new viv until this problem arose, now im just sat here doing nothing
tbh stuff like that i wouldnt buy rep branded anyway, if it was just for a visual light id of brought a fixture from DIY place. but is u have that now best way would be get a screw in ring thing pass lead through an tie a nknot it in to set height
its designed to be hung, its more suited for open top enclosures etc. do as i said screw a hook in top of viv an tie a knot in lead to hang it from, or just buy a normal household fixture
is it safe for the light holder/light to just be hanging there? obviously i have a guard but i thought the light had to be fixed. wont this swing with a little movement from walking past the viv or when she grows up a bit and gets more chunk lol and starts bashing around
if its in a cage it wont matter. as i said if ya that worried just buy a household light fixture. ya know the light pendents on ya roof..... they just hand on the wires with lamp shades on, so yours in a cage will be fine.
