Ok ref new home.. i have a jap rat (slender) who is appx 30" long. he is currently homed in a plastic viv that measures 18l x 12w x 7h inches. i KNOW he can now me upsized. will a glass tank measuring 20l x 10w x 13h inches be ok?

all my snakes are in tubs i find it alot cheaper :) but if you want a nice looking setup i would get a wooden viv i find they hold the heat alot better than glass |

yes i realize vivs are better (IMO) and i have 4 other snakes in them. but with a spare tank/glass viv i just wanted to see if it would suit him rather than leave him in teh home he has until i can afford a new wooden viv until ......well about then.

It depends on how much climbing he does I suppose. If he likes to climb then it may be worth it. If not though,I'd be inclined to keep him where he is as the floor space is the same on them. |

Thankyou for the input, reference climbing, he certainly like to reach up and then climb on the lip of the lid of his current "viv" and then slither around it . not every day but very often.
