Fed Ceasar 2 large pinkies last nite, (which i now realise were too small). got up this morning, he's pooed, shed, has no lump and is very active.
Has anybody else had this and is it normal?
thanks Ste. |

He wouldnt have been able to digest that quickly, it is most likely a regurge, again likely due to the fact he was shedding. |

I think there is still food in him, just that the lump is reduced to look like his average body structure. Sometimes snakes poop after shedding/ poop then it starts the shed. |

Well that sounds more plasuible.. Sorry you phrased it like it was all one event! If he fed a week or so ago then yeah it probably is that. |

Corno used to obey the 'curl up in a hide for 2 days after feeding' rule - but now she's out and about straight after a feed, 1st thing next morning, usual times etc! I keep telling her to curl up and let it digest, but she just won't listen.....
Good news on a successful shed (we've not had one of those yet - I'm hoping she doesn't have another bad shed this month!) |

Sounds like a version of a (misfits) triple. lol.
They digestion of a mouse takes pretty much a week to 10 days in a corn snake. What goes in it not what comes out 2-3 days later, that's the meal that has been in there since last week. They couldn't absorb the nutrients out of raw meat that quickly so to poop it out after a few days would be wasteful. |
