Sanke just shed so weighed and measured today. She's now 3 foot 1 and 533 Grams. Still love the moody face this little girl has but she is a lovely snake these days, she has calmed right down since moving into her big vivarium.

Pink lady
Go on put your hand over the line I dare you!
Just keeping an eye on me while she winds her tail in.

She's a cracker. Do the pale colours darken with age to match the tail section? |

No the tail will always be darker. The interesting (geeky) thing about these is they are darker through the day and go very pale at night, these pictures are in between she goes a washed out pale blue at night. |

How big she will grow is a bit of a guestimate, she should be pure Hogg Island Boa so she should grow to a max of about 5-6 feet but if some sneaky common Boa is in there she may grow a bit larger, the biggest she could get where I could house her in the current vivariums I have is 7 feet but thats VERY unlikely, 5 feet is a more realistic size. She eats jumbo mice at the moment, she was on rats but I think she was getting a bit fat on them so went back to mice, at top size she will probably be on a weaner rat once every 14 days or a jumbo mouse once a week but its all dependant on her size at the time etc. |

Cheers Bob. There's one of these, or at least similar, in my local pet shop but hard to see the proper colours as there is a red heat lamp in the viv. |
