Thanks to all of you who have expressed concern over Echo. Unfortunately she never recovered and was in obvious pain so this morning my little girl was very sadly put to sleep. I never found out what was wrong with her and stupidly didn't think about asking for a post mortem as I was in a state and due to the school holidays I had my 2 very upset children with me too.
She was buried this afternoon and her favourite hide is now a memorial to her.
I'm absolutely devastated over it all and missing her loads already.  |

| Oh no! :( Bless you and your little-uns Mort. You did everything she could have asked for as a pet owner. I was so afraid of this post, but sometimes putting to sleep is much kinder. So sorry for your loss, it's never easy. Thinking of you. x |

Thanks Emmy,its the first time I've had to make that decision and my God it was hard. Couldn't stand to see her suffering though.
It really has knocked me sideways though as I've been caring for her so much the last few weeks. |

| Aww so sorry Mort, never an easy decision but it was the right one. Hope you and the family are all OK. Echo couldn't have asked for a better family. |

Oh no! I'm so very sorry for your loss. It's a horrible decision to have to make but it's the last loving act that we can do for our beloved pets. At least you know that she is no longer suffering.

Thankyou all. Had a little cry at some of the lovely things said here.
I'm hoping and praying its nowt contagious and keeping tabs on the other snakes,particularly her brother Eli. The others are all feeding,defecating and shedding ok including Eli who last shed on the 27th Dec (was stressing loads about it) I nearly cried with joy and relief when he almost burst his mouse on the 29th Dec.
I think my stomach will be churning though for some time :-/ |
