As my dad uses alot of wood around the house he often comes across bad wood. He showed me once a piece of wood with small holes all over it and told me about a worm/bug thing that eats the wood. Its true, he wasnt telling me to scare me or get a kick out of. Anyways, I went out today to buy some stuff for the royal and while I was there I picked up a stick for flicka. But when I brought it home I had a oser inspection and saw this:

Should I take it out of the viv??

just showed my dad and he said thats its would worm. had to leave it outside so none of it comes out. i guess this is a warning to anyone buying wood from very small pet shops that dont really have that much to do with reptiles.

Rather than waste the wood by not using it, soak it overnight in a 10% bleach solution, thoughly rinse, and dry in the oven at a low heat for a hour. That should kill off anything in there.

Rather just take it back where I got it and notify them of there problem, hopfully I could get my money back or find another without the problem and swap it.

I don't use anything with what looks like woodworm holes in it. Don't want my house falling apart around me ;)
