on average how long does it take for a snake to grow full size?

I think I remember reading somewhere a corn snake will be fully grown by 3yrs old, don't know about other breeds of snake though.

Its really depends, 3 years is more a breeding guide. They evidently never stop growing though its very very slow when they are older. I know in Spot's case he tripled in length in the first year but his growth now is much more gradual but he is still growing (he's about 18 months old).

my corn is about 10 months and still pretty small, about 50cm in length.

They are like us humans, they grow faster when young but other than that it varies so much you can't put a hard and fast rule on it. They're all individual and will grow at their own rate.
