I'm not a brand new member of this site/forum....but I think I may have cracked it this time. .....(I just hope I'm not jinxing things by announcing on here the arrival of our new baby....
After two failed attempts with amels from a private breeder, (first one that didn't eat at ALL, was swapped for one that sicked up twice and then popped his little clogs, poor squiggle) we now have a tough cookie carolina girly, a bit older than the others were when we got them, MUCH more muscly, bright eyed and perkier, and with a LONG feeding/shed record ...
she happily scoffed two pinks only 3 days after getting here, and has this evening been out for her first stroll round my hands (which included attempts at getting round the back of my neck and inside my t-shirt, nauty gril, heehee)
anyway, it all feels very promising. I hope she'll be with us for years and years, cos she is gORgeously beautiful.
yaYYY! she is causing muchly cheered-upness since we lost Tinsel :D

and you thought there was no such thing as a stupid question....

ps- don't blame me for the name... it was my 7 year-old that did that.

thanks all- its nice to be perusing these forums again with an occupied viv on the desk next to me, even though at first glance you wouldn't know it- she's so shy, its really cute.. I came in the room earlier and she was half hanging out of the hole in the shell-hide-thingy, as soon as she saw me she reversed backwards quick as a flash, and then stayed in there with just her nose poking out, to check what I was up to- laffs

isn't it fascinating how different a personality individual snakes can have? imagine trying to explain snakes' characters to a repto-phobic..... (not sure that's the right term, but you know what i mean)

and you thought there was no such thing as a stupid question....
